Adorable baby Mila at just 6 days old…she was a dream to photograph! I mean, look at all these smiles! AND hair! Just gorgeous. She’s almost 8 months old now (yep, I’m wayyyy behind on blogging) and already traveling the globe! She’s been to Brazil, Hawaii & Australia in her first year of life! But this comes as no surprise considering her parents are the successful owners/operators/founders of Classy Career Girl. I’m so happy for this little family I can hardly stand it!! 🙂

I don’t do senior sessions very often, but after meeting Ashley and her mom, I knew this session would be a fun one! Ashley was a natural in front of the camera, can’t you tell?? She is now a freshman at University of Oregon and I’m sure doing very well. GO DUCKS!!!  🙂

You can officially call them a “party of five”! The Beamish family added a brand new baby to their crew this Spring and I was thrilled to be able to capture Cora’s first photos. Mer & Adam have the most gorgeous little ones and Cora is no exception. Since I’ve taken all three of their newborn photos, I’d say she looked a bit more like Chase at two weeks old so we’ll see if she gets those curly locks too! I just love this little family. Even though they live up in Orange County now, I’m still grateful for the opportunities that we do get to see each other, catch up on life…and of course watch The Bachelor/Bachelorette. 🙂

Well it’s been a baby filled Spring so far! What better way to celebrate than with CAKE?!?

Last summer I spent a few days in Boise, Idaho visiting friends, taking pictures and trying new things. One of those new things was senior portraits! I’ve always thought about doing senior portraits, but never really had much of an opportunity to try it out. A friend of mine put me in touch with Sophie’s mom as I was heading off to Boise and then I met up with Sophie a few days later! It was great getting to know Sophie and visiting her favorite spots in Boise for photos that really represented her style. Let me know what you think of my first senior session! 🙂

One of the things I’m most thankful for is the true blessing of friendship. The friends who are loyal, encouraging, kind, patient, honest…the ones who you want to go through life with and you know they will always have your back. This little family exemplifies that for me and I couldn’t have been happier for them when they welcomed baby girl #2! Here are a few from their maternity session in Coronado and then their newborn session once little Olivia arrived in October!

Jamie & Matt – your friendship brings so much joy and blessing to my life. I love your little family and can’t wait to see these little girls grow up to be even more adorable (if that’s possible)! 🙂

I think part of the reason it took me so long to post these is because, when I look at them, I NEED TO GO BACK TO ITALY NOWWWWW!! Yes, I send need. 🙂  Italy was such a magical trip and one of the most amazing vacations I’ve ever taken. We were able to visit some beautiful areas of Italy, but I know I’ve only scratched the surface. I hope to visit again soon to see much, much more. My visit wouldn’t have been possible with this wonderful family. You saw their farewell photos on my blog last year, so click that little link to read all the mushy things I said about this sweet family. 🙂

I wouldn’t say this was the most ideal day for a family photo session being that it was an Italian holiday and juuuuust a bit crowded in Positano. HOWEVER, we got some great photos, ate some really yummy food (of course, all food in Italy is delicious!) and had a lovely day spent on the Amalfi Coast.

Beautiful little baby girl Maddyn was born last month! I can’t WAIT to meet her!!!!

Melissa & Joey are two of the sweetest clients I’ve ever worked with. Their calm and warm-hearted demeanor make it so easy to let them be themselves and capture their true emotion before and after baby is born. Getting caught up on blogging with a few ONE year sessions from the past few months! Don’t you love a good cake smash? These little guys had two VERY different reactions to cake, but both are priceless. First up is Nathan!

As you can see, Nathan wasn’t too happy with his cake…

…so his parents (and maybe myself) decided to help him out with it. You can never let a good cake go to waste!

Maternity and newborn sessions are some of my favorites. These two sessions were no different. Megan and I met up just a few weeks before baby Renley was born to take her maternity photos. She was perfectly at-ease in front of the camera…

Baby Renley was born right before I left for Italy, so we weren’t able to take photos within the first week like usual, but it didn’t matter…she was a natural and so easy to photograph. Such a sweet little girl and adorable as ever! This is one of my favorites…
