I think it’s been WAY too long since the cutest twins in the world made an appearance on my blog. Can you believe Boden & Zoey are going to be THREE in September??!! Ah!! Time goes by so fast and these little ones are talking up a storm and still as cute as ever. Here’s a glimpse of my latest trip to Bend (via instagram @meganann)…

Happy Monday, friends!! I’m so excited to share this wedding with you! It was my first wedding of 2012 and boy, did it come through as one of the best ever! Joy and Tim were such a dream to work with…they were both so relaxed and trusted me with anything. I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to call clients and more importantly, friends. These two have been together for many years so it was finally time to make it “official” :). With a couple that has been together for so long, taking photos is easy, effortless and comfortable. Very few nerves and hopeful excitement created a beautiful day at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa! I love this venue! Yes, you have guests walking around here and there since it is a hotel, but overall it’s a very intimate setting that works with any palate for an amazing wedding day.

Also, a HUGE thank you to Rachel of Bliss Events and her team for coordinating a flawless day!

It all began for us back in December 2010. That’s when I first spoke to Izzy on the phone about her July 2012 wedding to the love of her life, Jeremy. Once we finally met last summer, I got to see a glimpse of the vision for their wedding day and the excitement that was to come. You see, Izzy grew up in Southern California, but now lives and works in the Boston area. This is where she met Jeremy…in her freshman year at Northeastern University. With the SoCal wedding, they decided to have their engagement photos in the area where they met, fell in love and will live happily ever after! I couldn’t have been more excited to visit Boston again and spend a few short days with them. And of course, we HAD to go to a Red Sox game first! 🙂 That’s where our session started (Fenway!) and then we spent the rest of the weekend taking photos all around Boston…their alma mater, North End, Quincy Market… Enjoy!

After the Red Sox game and then on to Yawkey Way…if you are a fan of baseball history, you can’t get any better than Fenway!

Next stop, Northeastern University where these two first met…

I’d like to introduce you to Izzy’s love for shoes…you’ll see the culmination of this love on the wedding day!!! 🙂

Everyone who knew both of us thought we should be friends. They knew we were both from the Northwest, her from Seattle, me from Oregon. They also knew we both loved football, her the Seahawks, me the Chargers. I’d seen Lindsey at church and she’d seen me, but we were never formally introduced. Until a little over a year ago. We finally met and became instant friends. It was true that we were both from the Northwest and maybe that’s why we got along so well because she reminded me of home. Over the past year, the Burketts have been a big part of my life …from our first country concert together (Lady A! ;-)), countless NFL Sundays, Thanksgiving, cookie exchanges, Bachelor Mondays, sushi, Oceanside trips and everything in between. They are like family to me. So you can imagine my sadness when I learned that I’d soon have to say good-bye to this sweet family as they began their preparations for a 3-year stay in Italy. I know for certain that I will visit them and I know for certain that no matter how many miles are between us, this friendship will last. The day we said good-bye was bittersweet and it was also the first time we had a photo session together! Aside from Maielle being a bit of a stinker that afternoon 🙂 and the thought of many good-byes lingering, we still managed a super fun, sunny afternoon with smiling pics to boot!

To Brandon, Lindsey, Sprout & Squeak…I love you all SO much and miss you like crazy! Your friendship has truly been a blessing to me. I can’t wait to hear more about all of your Italian adventures and hope to see you very soon!! Ciao!! XOXO!!
