I was thrilled to see Melissa & Brandon’s wedding featured on Style Me Pretty Destination yesterday! Their blog is such a great resource for brides & grooms and I was honored to share a fabulous Maui wedding with their readers. Maui is one of my favorite places to visit and I’ve now been able to shoot 3 weddings over there…and hopefully more in the future!!

Also a huge thank you to my dear friends, Melissa & Brandon, for allowing me to shoot their wedding! I loved every minute of it!!

As you’ll be able to see from the photos below, it was a GORGEOUS day for Jasmine & Michael’s wedding by the bay! I was honored to be a part of such a special day in their lives. You’ve seen this beautiful couple once before on the blog for their engagement session. These two are so sweet and love each other so much. Both families danced and partied till late into the evening and it was so much fun for us to document. Take a peek below at their big day…

Dawn + Brandon = Married! {Coronado Island, CA}

It was one of those days where no one expected rain…but sometimes in San Diego, you just never know what you’re going to get. But even with the impending drizzle and gray skies, Dawn & Brandon didn’t let it ruin their day and were focused on the one thing that mattered most…marrying their one true love. The details took care of themselves and we ended up with a flawless (and even a bit sunny) ceremony that kicked off a celebration of good friends and loving family who know how to have a kick ass dance party!

Dawn & Brandon – THANK YOU for entrusting me with this wonderful day! I couldn’t be happier for the both of you and was honored to celebrate with you. xoxo

Megan + Chris = Married! {Mesa, Arizona}

This is definitely a wedding I will never forget. I mean, how often do you get to shoot a wedding at an Air Force Museum complete with vintage planes from World War II?? But the backdrop was just a bonus for being able to hang out with Megan, Chris and their amazing friends and family. Relaxed and stress-free, this wedding went off without a hitch. Megan & Chris – though we hadn’t met until the day before your wedding, I had no doubt about your love for each other and the joy you bring to each others lives. Thank you for choosing me to document your wedding day!

Crystal + Rod = Married! {El Cajon, CA}

As mentioned in their sneak peek, Crystal & Rod’s wedding was the perfect way to end 2012! I apologize in advance for a very LONG post, but I just couldn’t help it. With two extremely creative, talented and in love people, you can’t help but share all of the personal touches added to their “winter wonderland” wedding day that was totally and completely “them”. I’m pretty sure I had a smile on my face the entire day because I felt like I was part of the family. I shot Ashley’s wedding (Crystal’s sister) a few years ago, so it was easy to jump in and reconnect with everyone again. The family not only trusts me enough to shoot two daughters weddings, but also enough to drive the bride & her car to the wedding site at the last minute…that’s a first for me! 🙂 I’ll keep this short since there are SO many photos, but Crystal & Rod…THANK YOU!  Thank you for allowing me to share in such an amazing day! You two are the best clients (now friends) I could have asked for and wish you the very best!! XOXO

Photographer’s note: nearly ALL the details you see in these photos were created by the bride, groom, family & friends. Too many to mention, but just know they all worked so hard to bring this day together!

A big thanks to Meghan Fien for being my 2nd photographer & Laura Mummery for helping out with the photo booth!

The shoes on the left were painted by the groom on their 2-year dating anniversary…and worn by Crystal at the reception.

Lindsay + Jeff = Married! {Strawberry Farms Golf Club}

A SoCal girl and a Midwest boy…they meet, fall in love and celebrate with a wedding that combines all of their loves. Lindsay & Jeff’s fall-themed wedding at Strawberry Farms Golf Club was perfectly planned with details put together by family and friends. All the leaves you see in the photos?…Those were all flown in from Indiana by Jeff’s mom. Awesome, right?? It was also Jeff’s 30th birthday shortly after the wedding, so Lindsay had a little surprise up her sleeve for the reception. And it was definitely my kind of reception…plenty of country music! 🙂

Thank you to my 2nd shooter for the day, Katie Gardner Sykes!

Enjoy!

A girl after my own heart…two pairs of shoes for the big day. Love those cowboy boots!

Shane + Joey = Married! {Bainbridge Island, WA}

When you combine shooting a wedding with traveling to one of your favorite places and are accompanied by dear friends, it makes for a dream weekend. My loves of travel, the Northwest and photography were all present at Shane & Joey’s wedding this past August. Shane and I go way back to our college days at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. From there we’ve been roommates in San Diego and traveled to far off places such as New York and France. We share loves of travel and sports…in particular, March Madness. She’s my go-to girl for reminiscing during “One Shining Moment” and even shared my obsession admiration of the Oregon Ducks Joey Harrington many moons ago. Should I get started on her infatuation with N*Sync?? Okay, maybe I’ll leave that one out. Of all the memories we’ve shared, the last few years are the ones I’m most excited about and the ones that culminated into the day she became Mrs. Miramontez.

Joey is the perfect match for Shane and their wedding weekend was nothing short of incredible. They brought in all of their closest family and friends to a location that can easily be described as “summer camp for adults”. IslandWood is an outdoor education center nestled in a woodsy forest on Bainbridge Island, which is just across the Sound from Downtown Seattle. We all stayed in cabins for the weekend and were spoiled with ridiculously amazing food, gorgeous sunny weather and good friends all around. And it was all for Shane & Joey who wouldn’t have had it any other way. I know it meant SO much to them to have all the important people in their lives be there and I am so thankful that I got to be a part of it as well.

I also need to give a big shout out to Sean Thompson who was my 2nd shooter for the day. I had reached out to him via Twitter in the months before the wedding and finally met him as soon as I arrived in Seattle. Turns out that he is a part of the Big Deal Branding team that I had JUST signed on with to help me with my super duper re-brand and new website. Small world, right?? Sean – thank you for shooting with me and hopefully we can team up again soon!!

Okay, enough of my rambling…let’s get to the good stuff!
